Business events influencers convene for collaboration, learning
2019 PCMA European Influencers Summit in Barcelona sees record registration
More than 200 business events strategists and industry influencers from Europe, Middle East, Africa and United States are expected to shift established thinking and defy traditional approaches during PCMA’s European Influencers Summit 22-24 Sept. in Barcelona.
This year’s “Disrupt + Deliver” programme, designed to help EMEA’s senior business events professionals drive global economic and social transformation through events, will expose participants to unconventional approaches to learning including off-site educational sessions at FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou headquarters, one of the most lucrative sports organisations in the world to learn about community engagement, or Hospital de Sant Pau, one of the most architecturally impressive landmarks in Barcelona, to explore reinvention.
“The European Influencers Summit is a must-attend event for senior business events professionals across EMEA,” said Luca Favetta, PCMA regional business director for EMEA. “We look forward to delivering on our commitment to provide inspirational, motivational and memorable education and networking sessions to our participants.”
The majority of sessions will be held at host venue Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona where participants will join in collaborative education, including invite-only master classes; hands-on workshops; an “Ideathon” and hear from thought-provoking business and innovation leaders Fredrik Härén, David Meade and Rik Vera.
European Influencers Summit will feature an Innovate + Elevate Hub, a new approach to the traditional exhibition space, and a Learning Hub, which will offer key areas for experiential learning and collaboration, including a podcast studio and open workspace for participants to continue conversations sparked by education sessions.
Participants can also explore Barcelona during the city’s annual La Mercè festival featuring open-air concerts, dancing, authentic food, street art and a fireworks display.
