When In a year where uncertainty is certain to make life more complicated, it is more important than ever to be ready for whatever the world will throw at your events. With the sometimes unpredictable nature of travel, unstable weather climates and increasing demands from a preparedness perspective, the topic of event crisis management becomes more critical to planners. As the industry and world changes, these conversations are beginning to use digital event and streaming events as a strategy to mitigate risk when planning face-to-face events.

Join us on this webinar to learn about how, faced with Hurricane Florence, the Water Quality Association (WQA) converted its face-to-face conference, planned to take place in Hilton Head, S.C., into a digital event. During the digital event, water quality professionals were able to watch presentations and training sessions, as well as take part in board, committee, task force, and section meetings on their laptops. All 20 sessions of the conference were broadcast from four conference rooms at WQA’s headquarters in Lisle, Illinois.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore how the WQA used Livestream to expand the reach of their live event audience and increase ROI
  • Identify the best practices and tips from professional large-scale event planners on how to move a meeting digitally
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of your event crisis safety and communication plan
  • Determine next steps for how to further develop your event plan to ensure seamless digital execution
