We invite planners to join this special event on a complimentary basis\, making new connections\, and expanding their network by interacting with one another in a more intimate setting. \nBy letting yourself be INSPIRED\, you become INSPIRING!! \nIt’s easy to forget these things when we’re busy\, stressed-out\, in a changing world\, or self-absorbed\, but they make all the difference in the culture we create for ourselves and our organization. \n“It’s the sum of all our choices (even the small ones) that will define who we’ll become and the impact we’ll have on others.” \nINSPIRE is based on 4 interconnected principles that give us a new language to talk about how we want to treat each other\, how we want to impact others and how to keep these ways of being in the front or our minds each day. \n\n \nMartin Lespérance \nHis dream is that people are happy in their work! His objective is to INSPIRE people to take action so that they are happy\, engaged and motivated\, and their organizations make a difference in the world. SUMMARY:PCMA CW Educational Series: Experts @ Work presents Beth Surmont
DESCRIPTION:PCMA CW Educational Series: Experts @ Work presents Beth Surmont \nDate: Wednesday\, October 30\, 2024 \nTime: 11:30am – 1:00pm PST | 12:30pm – 2:00pm MST \nLocation: Via Zoom (link will be emailed to you after registering) \nPCMA Canada West is excited to invite Beth Surmont\, FASAE\, CMP-Fellow\, CAE\, VP of Business Event Strategy and co-founder of SocialOffset for our Educational Series: Experts @ Work. \n” A New Approach for Event Design” \nIn our current models\, events are designed for consumption. We tend to squeeze as much content as we can into the schedule\, leaving attendees feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.\nThey are inspired with ideas but frustrated at how to connect the dots and bring them forward. What would it mean to shift from the all-you-can-eat buffet to a meaningful and intentional menu of content that includes hands-on application\, collaborative conversations\, and time to absorb and reflect. With small shifts to our approach\, we can create space for our audiences to translate ideas into knowledge and wish lists into action plans.\nIn this session\, you will learn a simple framework that can take your events to the next level. With recommendations on fresh formats and constructs for how to approach audience-centered design\, you will leave filled with ideas that you can implement for your next event. \nLearning Outcomes: \n1. How to use a simple framework to infuse more intention to your events\n2. How to bring more joy into your event design\n3. How to create space for audiences to reflect\, connect\, and have fun \nBeth Surmont\, VP of Business Event Strategy & Design at 360 Live Media\, is celebrated for her transformative approach to event planning and her advocacy for social impact. With over 20 years of experience\, she has developed innovative event solutions for associations and non-profits. Recently\, she co-founded SocialOffset\, a platform enabling event organizers to counterbalance socially contentious issues in event destinations by supporting local charities. This changemaking venture\, alongside her contributions as an A.I. innovator and advocate for mental health resilience\, solidifies her status as a visionary in the events industry. \nThis event is 1.5 CMP hours
