SUMMARY:Webinar: PCMA Living 360: Dare to Be Different! 3 Keys for Goal-setting Success
DESCRIPTION:\n \n \n\n \n \n \n Many conversations about meetings start with the logistics: “What are the dates? How many people? How many room nights?” However\, some event professionals are missing the mark when it comes to setting goals for a truly successful event – one that will truly “WOW” the attendees (and client). In fact\, research shows that only 4% of people meet their goals each year. Part of the issue may be that using an old\, traditional approach to goal-setting often leads to mounting frustration and undue stress. \nIn this interactive\, high-energy session\, Jan Spence will provide participants with a fresh\, innovative perspective on how to develop a game plan to transition from being “just” another meeting supplier or planner to becoming an indispensable strategic partner to their event industry counterparts. Attendees will learn and implement her easy step-by-step process right away and also share these techniques with others to promote further success. Participants will learn new ways to empower themselves and others to get rid of unnecessary roadblocks\, focus on what makes them successful\, and then capitalize on these new methods. Based on Jan’s extensive experience helping organizations\, associations\, and individuals explore their full potential\, she will expose attendees to a different approach to goal-achieving. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nDevelop more effective mission statement\, goals and objectives of a meeting\, event or project.\nEstablish steps to specify actions\, time frames and performance measurements needed to achieve goals.\nDevelop techniques to monitor and adjust a strategic plan.\n\n  \n1.0 Clock Hour\nDomain G: Meeting or Event Design \n  \nBrought to you by:\n \n  \n[vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html]\n \nPresenter: Jan Spence\nJan Horton Spence is an international speaker\, trainer\, and consultant. SUMMARY:Chapter Workshop: Emotional Intelligence (Ottawa)

We explore three areas that each participant brings to their interactions: interpersonal skills and techniques; intrapersonal awareness and choices; and\, perspective sharing. \nThe case is made for the requirements of emotional connection: “Better to be interested\, than interesting”. Empirical research is used to make the business case for curiosity for autobiographical information about those we meet. \nIntrapersonal awareness is the foundation of everything! Take charge of your attitude and you take charge of your life with new strategies for beating negativity\, eliminating doubts\, and setting positive goals. Understand the power of thought\, and its impact on prompting emotion. Recognize that thoughts are a choice\, and that the right choice leads to better decisions and better outcomes. \nThe demonstration of high EI is outstanding interpersonal communication.
