International Planning 101: Global Event Planning Fundamentals
June 30 @ 12:00 pm– 1:00 pm MDT
This webinar is the first of a four-part series covering many critical components to consider when tackling the challenge of planning meetings and events on the international stage. We all experience subtle differences between planning meetings between different venues, cities and states and once you depart United States soil, those nuances become much more prominent. This series will dig into the major issues and leave you feeling like planning an international meeting is as easy as A B C… or А Б B… or あ べ せ…
This first webinar focuses primarily on the operations side, addressing issues like site selection, program planning, risk management, budgeting and currency issues, logistics, and legal considerations. Prepare yourself to dig into the nuts and bolts planning your event abroad!
Join this webinar to learn how to:
- Establish an effective local support network abroad and conduct a destination assessment to decide the right country/city for your program
- Create a contingency plan for a global meeting/event by: analyzing potential risks, evaluating specific on-site challenges and assessing legal issues related to traveling abroad
- Create a program, develop a budget and conduct a pre-departure briefing for your global meeting/event
