Atifa Silk 

Managing Director, Haymarket Asia

Atifa Silk is the managing director of Haymarket Media Asia, based in Hong Kong. She joined Haymarket’s specialist content team in 2000 and held various editorial roles, from managing editor to editorial director of Campaign and CEI Asia, before taking on the role of brand director in 2013 and responsible for live events, digital, commercial and content for the company’s marcoms portfolio. Atifa was appointed managing director in 2020 and currently oversees Haymarket’s Hong Kong and Singapore operations, which are focused on creating specialist content for audiences in the finance and marketing communications sectors across digital platforms, data-driven products and live and virtual events for AsianInvestor, Campaign Asia, CorporateTreasurer and FinanceAsia, as well as Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, Haymarket’s JV with Ascential the organisers of Cannes Lions.

Razlan Manjaji

Head of Global Events, SCMP

Razlan current heads up the global events business of the South China Morning Post. Previously, he led the international market expansion effort of SCMP into the Southeast Asia and United States markets, and the education sector business prior to that. Razlan graduated from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with an engineering degree, and had multiple leadership roles in the recruitment, conference and media industries.

Deanna Varga

Managing Director, Mayvin Global

Meet DES APAC Expert, Deanna Varga, Founder, Managing Director, Mayvin Global. Deanna is an Executive with 25 years’ experience in sales and marketing in tourism, business events and the arts having worked for not for profits, government agencies as well as corporates. Some of the organisations she’s worked for include destination marketing organisations (Tourism Australia, Business Events Sydney), global hotels (Accor and Starwood) and cultural attractions (Australian National Maritime Museum). Deanna opened her own company in 2011 and is highly skilled in implementing sustainable commercial strategies to drive revenue, profit and engagement across leisure and business to business sectors, undertaking feasibility reviews, stakeholder management and engagement across government, association, corporate and not-for-profit sectors.
