The world of events is changing. Organizations and their members have now embraced the idea of digital meetings and events, something that many may have never considered before. Our experts, Hud Englehart and Jim Russell, will discuss where the industry was, how it is transitioning, and what they see for the future.

Speaker: Hud Englehart

Hud has been a strategic communications advisor to heads of companies and institutions in four decades and across multiple industries. He helps clients develop and refine their stories, brand their market positions, select and reach targets, and adapt to and maximize the use of evolving media channels. He has managed large agency operations, led communication for global corporations, and acted as chief communications strategist for the governor of Illinois. He is a founding partner of Beacon Advisors, Inc. and an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism where he teaches crisis communication.

Speaker: Jim Russell

Jim Russell is Executive Vice President, Client Solutions at Freeman. Jim started with Freeman in 2009 and brings over 25 years of prior industry experience having held executive management roles in sales, operations, design and installation, and strategic account management.

Within the industry, Jim served two terms as Chair of the Global Board of Trustees for the MPI Foundation. Additionally, Jim serves and speaks at other industry events such as the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), and Meeting Planners International (MPI).
