Digital Marketing nor Social media are the easiest to manage. However, they are an essential and important brand and experiential marketing strategic tools that drive attendance, define and engage your high-value target audience, extend the experience, and build brand recognition. The ultimate goal is to bring financial revenue to an organization. The event planner needs to know how to effectively design content that promotes the brand’s message and offers audience insight into the event experience. Through the collaboration of multiple digital services, social media being the largest performer, events should be effective in target marketing communications.

As a 13 year professor at The George Washington University, American Public University and The NewSchool of Architecture & Design, she teaches event and experiential marketing, design thinking and hospitality marketing. Karen currently consults with Isom Global Strategies (Inc 5000 Company), Think Local First DC, and Green Festival Expo (largest sustainable expo in the US) and has contracted with BET, Viacom, DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and Pernod-Ricard (Forbes ranked, One Of The Top 20 Most Innovative Companies In The World). Baker is the Host of a Live weekly talk show, Behind The Mind Radio Show, featuring national designers and business owners, on the We Act Radio Network.
