Mike Shea is Chief Logistics Officer & Partner of Austin-based South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference & Festivals. For nearly 30 years he has been lead planner of the world-renowned event for professionals in the creative industries including music, film, and interactive technology. SXSW’s legacy March event attracts more than 100,000 attendees to Austin, Texas. Its beneficial economic impact for the city was measured at $325 million in 2016.

 

 

 

Judy Maggio is a respected, veteran journalist who spent 3 decades as the lead news anchor in Austin, Texas. She served as Managing Editor at both KVUE -TV ( 1981 – 2003) and KEYE-TV ( 2003 – 2014). When she chose to retire from the anchor desk, she launched a communications consulting firm, JudyMaggioMedia. JMM offers communications consulting, video production, media training and on-camera talent coaching. Judy was voted Best Newscaster by Austin Chronicle readers for 10 years in a row and has won many media awards for her in-depth reporting. In 2014, she was named Trailblazer of the Year by the Alliance for Women in Media, and Women Communicators of Austin honored her with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
