PCMA Southeast presents another impactful educational program! As we continue to “Reset, Refocus, Restart” in 2020 – our October 30th event, “Tools for Planning Successful, Safe Live Events,” will feature speakers and presenters who continue to move the needle forward towards in-person events.

And since it’s the spookiest time of the year, we’re going to have some fun! We’ll feature a costume contest (remember to focus on your face/head as this is what everyone will see of you in Zoom!) – we have some awesome prizes to give out, so bring your best!

SPEAKERS:

Michele Polci, CPCE, CMP, Director of Citywide Catering Sales, Caesars Entertainment
In her position as director of citywide catering sales for Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas, Michele Polci oversees the sales effort for all catered events across two million square feet of banquet and event space across nine Las Vegas properties: Bally’s Las Vegas, Caesars Forum, Caesars Palace, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, LINQ, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Polci leads a team of sales people who specialize in corporate, convention affiliate and social catering events business. Polci is actively involved in the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Association of Catering and Events (NACE), and has held a string of positions on the local board, including treasurer, vice president, and president, immediate past president. In July 2007 she was honored by NACE as National Caterer of the Year for her endless enthusiasm, dedication, and extraordinary commitment to the industry. In July 2011 Polci was awarded the coveted National spirit of NACE award. Polci holds the title of the most awards winning caterer in NACE history. Michele currently serves on the Board of Directors with the SEARCH Foundation as an event director. SEARCH is a 501(c)3 which assists industry individuals in crisis.

Mike Ferreira, MHA, Owner & Founder, Meetings Made Easy
Mike has over 19+ years of hotel sales, conference services, and hotel operations experience. He is a proud graduate of Cal Poly Pomona where he earned a BS in Hotel Management and a Master’s Degree in Executive Hospitality Administration from UNLV. His knowledge base comes from years of working at Bellagio, Montage Laguna Beach, Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, and Hilton Hotels. After 19 years in the hotel and meeting industry, Mike set out to partner with the event planner by creating Meetings Made Easy, a new modern-day hotel site selection, contract negotiation, and meeting services company.

Stacie Nerf, Senior Sales Account Executive, Delta Air Lines
Stacie Nerf is a 29-year veteran in the airline industry, a 14-year veteran in the MICE market, and a proud 5 year Delta veteran who began her career in Specialty Sales on the Meeting, Incentive, and Events team, virtually based in Dallas/Fort Worth.  As a result of her MICE experience, Stacie’s responsibilities and portfolio consists of incentive house partners, CVB’s, corporations, associations, and internal sales colleagues covering other vertical markets like corporate and agency, with responsibility for maximizing revenues and market share of those strategic markets. In her current role as Senior Sales Account Executive, Stacie holds certifications as CME, HMCC, and recently completed the Level 1 Mastery of the Event Design Certification. In addition, Stacie is on the Industry Insights Committee (APEX) of EIC. Stacie is a native of Albany, NY but spent the majority of her life in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She is a graduate of Neill Quality College and attended North Central Texas College.

Patrick Pickens, Manager of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Expositions (MICE), Delta Air Lines
Patrick leads Delta’s award-winning Meeting and Incentive Global Sales team, spearheading the Delta meeting product development and implementation; as well as representing Global Sales with 25 key meeting industry partners, media partners, and national organizations. Patrick works closely with cross departmental stakeholders in further advancement of Delta Edge Meetings, continued growth of 16 Incentive House accounts, and ongoing sales of Delta Meeting Network. Patrick joined Delta as a Global Sales Account Executive on the Global Corporate Sales team in 2017. Prior to Delta, Patrick was the owner, founder, and CEO of the luxury skincare company. Using his background in chemistry and biology, Patrick formulated, designed, and marketed a high performance, all-natural skincare product which was distributed via Costco, the Four Seasons Hotels, high-end boutiques/spas, and industry specialists throughout the U.S.
