Are you feeling overwhelmed due to the ongoing pandemic? Do you often feel “on edge” throughout the day? Do you have trouble “stopping” negative thoughts within this context? If you answered Yes! to any/all question(s), you should attend this interactive session focused on your emotional wellbeing. This session aims to assist you in creating personal calmness during the continued COVID-19 pandemic. You will learn how to identify and become attuned to your emotions. You will develop skills to address your stress and worries using a variety of strategies. To conclude, you will have an opportunity to create personal affirmations to develop a growth mindset.

|1. Identify and acknowledge your feelings and emotions|
|2. Incorporate strategies to address increased anxiety during a stressful time|
|3. Move towards acceptance of the unknown by fostering a perspective of adaptability with the use of affirmations|
Speaker: Rosina Mete, MSc, PhD, RP
Rosina Mete, MSc, RP, PhD is a Registered Psychotherapist who works for Interprofessional Care Team providing psychotherapy and counselling to address barriers to mental health services in the Niagara Region. Rosina is a skilled clinician with experience in community health, hospital, and university settings. She presently volunteers as an International Research Fellow with Young Minds Malaysia, a non-profit organization promoting mental health awareness and education among Malaysian youth. Additionally, Rosina obtained her PhD in Leadership and Policy from Niagara University in 2018. Her dissertation examined the impact of social support on psychological wellbeing among a chronically ill population (COPD). She continues to remain active in research regarding education, mental health strategies, and technology in mental health.
