You Get What You Give: Partnering With Your Venue to Give Back

The events industry has a unique platform in which to achieve corporate social responsibility goals while giving back to the communities that play host to their events. In this session, we’ll take a particular look at how planners can partner with venues or event locations to support local community outreach programs that will have a lasting impact and make it easier on the planners.

Learner Outcomes:

  • Identify how a venue can assist in community program research.
  • Demonstrate how corporate social responsibilities can be accomplished at a specific event.
  • Review how to include corporate social responsibility into event strategies.

Speaker: Chandra M. Champion, CNM, MSASS, conference and events manager, National WIC Association

Champion manages the delivery of special events, meetings and national conferences for the National WIC Association. Prior to joining the WIC Association, she worked as the events and meetings manager at the National Association of County and City Health Officials. In that role, she was responsible for planning meetings for all of NACCHO’s three large conferences, board meetings, and special events.
