Join us for our first hybrid program on September 9th to learn how to make your events more inclusive as we resume in-person events, while also continuing with the virtual and hybrid landscape. We will cover the topics to help you determine which accommodations that your attendees may need, no matter how they attend, and steps you can take to make your event more inclusive for everyone. Avery Berschauer and Andrea Lambrecht, CMP will present based on their life experiences living with disabilities and share insights to apply inclusivity into your event.

Avery Berschauer is a Seattle-based diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility consultant. She pulls from formal education and lived experience to help businesses and organizations create cultures that foster belonging and celebrate everyone’s differences
As a child, Avery was diagnosed with a retinal disease that worsens over time. Determined to help others avoid the barriers and adversity she has faced, Avery founded A•B Inclusion. She also shares her experience living with a visual impairment on her podcast Basically Blind.
Avery is a proud alumna of Washington State University where she earned a B.A. in communications and a B.S. in psychology. She also has a certificate in diversity and inclusion for Cornell University. Avery is also a training manager for the Junior League of Seattle.

Andrea Lambrecht, CMP has executed events for the last 12 years from the supplier side of the business, working in large hotels, convention centers, and small boutique venues. Andrea currently works as the Director of Group Services at Staypineapple Hospitality and has also recently started her own wedding and event consultancy – To Be Frank Consultants.
Andrea was blessed with great taste in music, best heard on full blast! Due to this experience, Andrea has had hearing loss in both of her ears since as early as she can remember and navigates the world today through lip-reading. It wasn’t until the pandemic hid everyone’s beautiful smile that she learned her adaptations were no longer sufficient and now acts as an advocate for applying inclusive measures to events and meetings.
Andrea is also a proud alumna of Washington State University where she earned a B.A. in Hospitality and Business Management. She also earned her CMP in 2015 to expand her expertise in executing events from the planner’s perspective.
