We’ll take you to the secret spots from where you will see the city from a different perspective. We’ll talk about our future and how rooftop technologies will help us to face the challenges of climate change.

START: 16:00

Can you handle a walk on the “salty” side of Rotterdam?
The cape or “kaap” of Katendrecht is where sailors took their shore leave in centuries past, and engaged in creative activities best forgotten. A walking tour of Katendrecht is a walk along the roadmap of transformation.
Thanks to smart urban planning this peninsula which formerly struggled with low-incomes, poor housing, and crime, has developed into one of the most vibrant and attractive areas of the city. Katendrecht boasts creative restaurants, historic treasures, a square that is a triangle, and a Fenix which is a counterpoint to Lady Liberty in New York’s harbor.
