FRANKIE GAO

Frankie Gao has worked at MCI Group for over 13 years, and set up their first China office in Shanghai 13 years ago. As managing director in China, he is responsible for strategic planning, key account management, business development, managing government relationships and overseeing the 100+ staff members in China.

MCI China manages conferences and events, and offers a variety of related services including consulting, training education, and AV production. They have overseen many large scale events in China in respective fields.

Gao spent seven years with Air China, the China’s flagship air carrier and seven years with Tourism Australia, the Australian federal force promoting Australia as tourism destination internationally and says he feels more at home as an entrepreneur in the corporate world than he would as a legal practitioner.

Gao is a board member of International Conference & Congress Association in China Chapter, and member of Professional Conference Management Association. He is Conference Advisors of Shanghai Municipal Government, Nanjing Municipal Government, Chengdu Municipal Government, Sanya, Hainan Municipal Government. In 2015 he was awarded “ Top 10 in Industry ” by China Conference Magazine.
