A Message from our President:

The world is changing; you can see it every day. While change is a fact of life, we all know that some changes create positive benefits and others do not. Our industry has changed too. In some cases this change has occurred by design and in other cases due to economic uncertainty. With the change in the year, comes the transitioning of the Canada East Board Officers and Committee Chairs, establishment of annual goals and planning for an event filled year.
I believe that our Chapter's success is ultimately measured by the strength of its volunteers.
I challenge each member to become more involved. Start with attending Chapter educational events, community outreach and networking activities. STEP UP and say "YES" to leadership, say "YES" to committee chair positions and active, engaged membership. Become a committee of one to incite others to become more involved. Become a mentor to new students. After all, they are the future of this association. I also challenge you to utilize the tools provided to keep you informed. (Newsletter, CanadaEast and PCMA web site, etc.) Much volunteered time and talent is put forth to provide us with these tools.
Your board is committed to providing education designed for you to help you do your job more effectively, advance your career and exceed your organization's goals. The continued creation of awareness of the importance of our industry and further opportunities to increase business between member's will chart our course throughout 2010.
The Canada East leadership understands the challenge we face as we strive to move the Chapter forward. How we go about that will be directed by you . . the member.
We need to create our future together. Your board is ready to do that!
Tara Gordon, CMP
PCMA Canada East
2010 Chapter President
