Now more than ever, it's important to save money. PCMA, McCormick Place and the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau have heard your requests and partnered to bring you an incredible offer: a significantly reduced price for a convention at McCormick Place, including discounts on hotels, for any organization confirming Chicago anytime between 2011 and 2018.

Not only is this a great money-saving opportunity for your organization, but proceeds from the auction help PCMA deliver premier education and innovative research to advance the meetings and convention industry and specifically PCMA members.

This incredible package has a value of up to $1,000,000, but can be purchased for as little as $150,000. What's more, a "BUY IT NOW!" feature allows you to purchase the package for $250,000--ending the auction immediately. Special payment terms will be determined so that only a portion of the funds is due each year.

The auction opened January 12, 2010, and will close at 11:59 P.M. CST, December15, 2010 or when sold through the "BUY IT NOW!" feature.

This package includes:

• Up to one million square feet of exhibit space and a proportionate amount of meeting space, for up to 10-days between 2011 and 2018, based on availability and applicable to new* calendar bookings only
  • *New calendar bookings are those not having met in Chicago at McCormick Place within the last four (4) years
• 20% discount on room rates at neighboring Chicago hotels
• 10% discount off of any hotel planned food & beverage functions
• One complimentary room night per 40 paid room nights
• Select upgrades to suites and/or tower rooms at the Convention Rate
• Complimentary Board Dinner at McCormick Place

To be honest, when I first heard about the PCMA Convention Center Auction I kind of ignored it. But it kept popping up like a subliminal message. So I decided it might be a good idea for me to learn more about it - after all we have a show every year and here was an opportunity to end up in a fantastic, top destination at an incredible price. Did I mention incredible price? Well, I can tell you I was a hero with my organization. And it didn't hurt that the funds raised will go back to PCMA to support member and industry education. I truly think this is a win-win-win, all the way around.
