Greater Columbus Convention Center North Entrance Rendering

A $125-million renovation and expansion project is currently underway at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The project is highlighted by 373,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space and is progressing on schedule to be complete in July 2017. Historic LeVeque Tower Shines in Columbus Skyline

Hotel LeVeque, an Autograph Collection hotel, will open in downtown Columbus’ historic LeVeque Tower in October 2016. The 155-room hotel will occupy about one-quarter of the building following the LeVeque’s current $20-million renovation. The upscale property blends history and contemporary design to offer visitors a new option for indulgent escapes. Click here for more info.

Canopy by Hilton Downtown Columbus Rendering

A 168-room Canopy by Hilton, part of the hotel brand’s luxury chain, is set to open across from the Greater Columbus Convention Center in 2018. The hotel will feature a rooftop bar and 3,000 square feet of meeting space, including some with outdoor patio space.
Port Columbus International Airport

Port Columbus International Airport

Port Columbus International Airport recently completed a three-year, $80-million renovation. The project modernized the terminals, incorporated local restaurants and businesses as options for flyers and added better wayfinding signage. Upgrades were also made to the airport’s free Wi-Fi system, making it 7-times faster and providing 3-times more bandwidth than before. Click here for more info.
Free Cbus Circulator

Free Cbus Circulator

The newly launched express circulator, AirConnect, runs from the airport to the convention center and downtown hotels every 30 minutes, 7 days a week. Once downtown, visitors can use the free Cbus Circulator the runs north to south along the city’s main thoroughfare to explore all Columbus has to offer. Click here for more info.

New Wing at the Columbus Museum of Art

The Columbus Museum of Art recently completed a $37-million renovation and expansion project that included the debut of a new 50,000 square foot wing. The upgrades created a new meeting/special event complex and additional gallery space. Click here for more info.
Topiary Park

Topiary Park

The Columbus Metropolitan Library’s $30-million renovation will be complete in June 2016, just in time for the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions’ 2016 World Library and Information Congress. The group will utilize the library’s new two-story reading room event space, overlooking the exquisitely unique Topiary Park. Click here for more info.

The Scioto Mile is a gem in downtown Columbus. The City of Columbus oversaw a several-year renovation of the riverfront, which resulted in 33-acres of reclaimed parkland that creates an educational and cultural district to seamlessly connect downtown to the east. Click here for more info.

The Columbus Coffee Trail, recently expanded to include 13 shops, showcases what happens when quality and collaboration come first among the city’s roasters. After patronizing four stops, many in walking distance from the convention center, visitors can redeem their coffee trail passports at Experience Columbus Visitor Centers for a t-shirt.
