Chairmen's Student Scholarship Application

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Education Foundation in collaboration with NYC & Company is offering up to two (2) event and tuition based scholarships for current PCMA student members.  Recipients of this scholarship will be selected based on academic record, essay submission and PCMA or industry involvement.Recipients of this scholarship will be asked to participate in activities of the Foundation while onsite in Chicago and attendance is mandatory.  Recipients will also be asked to assist Foundation staff with the promotion of the scholarship program, both during and post event.  This may include, but is not limited to: writing a blog post about your experience, interviews for member spotlights or Convene articles, donor meet & greet, etc. 

Recipients of this scholarship will receive:
  • $2,500 tuition based award for the Winter 2015 Semester
  • Complimentary registration for Convening Leaders, January 11-14, 2015 in Chicago, IL
  • Complimentary housing for up to four (4) nights at one of the official PCMA hotels.  Housing can accommodate up to four (4) guests.
  • Roundtrip, economy class airfare to Chicago, IL
  • Invitation to the Chairmen’s Reception and verbal recognition in front of approximately 500 PCMA VIPs
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Current student member of PCMA
  • Enrollment in at least six (6) credit hours with a major directly related to the meetings or hospitality industry
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
