Volunteers are the backbone of PCMA. From the direction of the organization and industry strategy, to creating content for Convening Leaders, volunteers are guiding the way.
How to get involved
Once the open call is issued each summer, volunteers fill out a form indicating interest by August 31. Appointments are announced early November and are determined based on past PCMA volunteer participation; indication of skills and strengths; and PCMA’s needs.
From time to time we have opportunities which arise that will be posted here, so check back often.
Details
Terms are one year and officially begin on January 1.
Volunteer opportunities include PCMA Headquarter committees and task forces, the Education Foundation and chapters. Currently the chapters and PCMA headquarters have separate calls.
Commitments vary by committee/task force but will most likely include monthly conference calls and face-to-face meetings at PCMA Convening Leaders (January) and PCMA Education Conference (June). You will also most likely be called on to work outside of the calls and meetings depending on the group.
Note: The Education Conference Committee and Silent Auction Task Force will begin activities in the preceding fall.
