Amanda Marijanovic
Vice President, Strategic & Creative Development
Source Line, Inc.

Amanda's entry into the industry was somewhat unconventional. Her career actually began with a short stint as a TV reporter before moving back to her hometown of Chicago to take on an account executive position with a global public relations firm. A year into what would become her eight-year tenure, she transitioned into a writer/producer/director position creating award-winning video, multimedia projects, and live events for clients like Accenture, Gatorade, AstraZeneca, McDonald's and the US Treasury. Always ready for a new challenge, Amanda joined a meeting and event production agency as Director of Events & Experiences in 2006. It was my first direct connect to the meetings industry but a seamless transition with the same focus on engaging, exciting, and inspiring audiences by deeply seeding the client's message and objectives.

This September, she began a new chapter as Vice President, Strategic and Creative Development for Source Line, Inc. Every day her job is to use the power of live experiences and communications initiatives to create lasting connections between her clients and their most influential audiences. Ultimately, it's about elevating the meeting's value into a yearlong engagement cycle that achieves breakthrough results.

When asked, "What do you enjoy most about the meetings and convention industry?" Amanda is quick to respond - As someone who has always been on the 'agency side,' variety has, thankfully, been the spice of life for me. I thrive on digging deep into the unique situation each client presents and the creative process that goes into developing the fresh, innovative meeting and communications solutions that will ultimately manifest into something game-changing for their organization.

Her first exposure to PCMA came several years ago when she transitioned into the meetings world. I believe industry involvement - especially through PCMA - is very important as we all have such diverse backgrounds and experiences that lend to a priceless sharing of best practices and resources.

Amanda has participated as a speaker at Convening Leaders in the past, and earlier this month, was on-site for the incredible 2012 meeting to serve as our virtual moderator in the Learning Lounge for the hybrid event and supported PCMA in the production of the partnership videos that played throughout the convention.

Outside of work Amanda is widely passionate about cooking and entertaining and channels her inner Martha Stewart as often as possible (Pinterest is her latest late-night guilty pleasure). She loves to travel and enjoys the outdoors.  Undeniably, my most rewarding career title of all is Mom - to active twin toddler boys. Balancing it all and loving life!
