The only thing Old Fashioned about Louisville is its official cocktail

Louisville is a city full sights, sounds and sips all its own—including its official cocktail, the Old Fashioned. It’s also home to the one-and-only Urban Bourbon Experience, a citywide adventure that now includes five distilleries, endless craft cocktail bars and countless Bourbon attractions and exhibits. And to top it off, Louisville’s Urban Bourbon Trail now includes more than 35 stops—each featuring 50+ Bourbons, a signature Bourbon cocktail and one-of-a-kind Bourbon-infused cuisine.

In fact, Louisville’s nationally acclaimed culinary scene features hundreds of locally-owned restaurants with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, which is one of the reasons why it was recently named one of the “Nation’s Best Local Food Scenes” by USA Today.

Louisville has become one of the most exciting cities to eat, drink, explore and meet in. This is due in large part to it being in the middle of a $1 billion transformation which is bringing an influx of new meeting spaces and 1,500 new hotel rooms -– including a 612-room Omni Hotel. At the center of the transformation is the expansion of the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC), which will soon feature 200,000 contiguous square feet of open, spacious exhibit space, a 40,000 square foot ballroom and 52 meeting rooms.
