Community Service Project in November -- Make Plans to Give Back

Leighton Williams, CEM - Director of Community Service

The Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children provides a variety of services, including childcare, showers, laundry, lunch, MARTA cards for medical appointments, medical care, life-skills classes, recreational opportunities, documentation (birth certificates, state IDs), access to My Sister’s House (for overnight services), and much more.  The shelter helps women break free from homelessness by breaking the bonds that put them there. Each woman is met by a Client Ambassador who is focused on building a relationship, meeting her needs, and casting vision and hope for her future.

The PCMA Southeast Chapter will be providing and serving lunch to the women and children served by the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children on Wednesday November 9th.  Register now to volunteer on November 9 from 10am-1:30pm to help provide a much needed service to this organization.

Please note that we are limited to 15 volunteers for this event, and spaces are filling up quickly.   Please click here to register.

There is no fee to participate in this event, but we have included an option to contribute a cash donation to the shelter.  Attire: comfortable clothes and please no open-toe shoes.

Additionally, The Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children will be the official Charity for the joint PCMA SE, IAEE SE, MPI Georgia December Holiday Event at the Georgia Aquarium on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
