CALGARY, AB, October 6, 2016 - The Board of Directors of the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) announced today the appointment of Clark Grue as the organization’s new President & CEO. Following a rigorous five-month national search, Mr. Grue was selected to lead the transformational change required to ensure CTCC builds on its status as a world-class, innovative centre for connecting people and ideas. He will officially begin his duties on November 1st.

Mr. Grue was a co-founder of Rainmaker Global Business Development Inc. and for the past nine years has led a team of professionals as they delivered strategic market expansion to clients globally. He assisted public and private companies in their quest for sustainable business development, economic growth and diversification, and identified qualified opportunities for rapid global growth and expansion.

Under Mr. Grue’s Leadership, the CTCC looks forward to working with city partners and the business community to attract strategic events to Calgary in order to support economic development and growth for our city. The CTCC will be enhanced as a hub connecting Calgarians to the world and each other.

The Board would like to sincerely thank Heather Lundy who assumed the role of Interim General Manager during the CEO search process. She will continue to play a leading role in the organization as she returns to her position of Director, Marketing + Communications.
