Colleen Phalen will joins the role of Executive Vice President, Program Development and Meetings of Destination Marketing Association International, effective July 6, 2016 and will be based in Washington, D.C. Fiera Milano

In the midst of UFI’s Open Seminar in Basel, Switzerland, the association’s board of directors has selected Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Fiera Milano, as the president of UFI for 2018. As a result, the UFI Presidential Trio for the 2016-17 term will comprise Andreas Gruchow, (Deutsche Messe AG), president 2016-2017; Corrado Peraboni (Fiera Milano, Italy), incoming president; Sergey Alexeev (ExpoForum-International Ltd., Russian Federation), outgoing president.

Lourdes Berho

Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto has appointed Lourdes Berhoas the new CEO of the Mexico Tourism Board (CPTM), replacing Rodolfo Lopez Negrete who served in the position since 2011. Berho is widely regarded as an expert in marketing with extensive credential with brand such as Condé Nast, Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Architectural Digest, BANAMEX and CITI Mexico.

Steven Savini

Steven Savini has been appointed Director of Travel Industry Sales at Viceroy Anguilla. Savini joins Viceroy Anguilla with more than 25 years in the luxury travel industry. Most recently he was director travel industry sales for the Americas at Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park (MOHG) where he opened and launched the US-based home office for North and South America.

Jill Jefferis

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has appointed Jill Jefferis as director of global engagement. She will be succeeding Amber Kelleher, who is leaving the association to launch a non-profit serving global communities in need.

A seasoned professional, Rubio brings 15 years of industry experience to his new role where he will oversee catering and conference services for the 400-room luxury property.

Max Pilz

The InterContinental San Francisco is pleased to announce Max Pilz as Food & Beverage Operations Manager. Most recently Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Pilz’s new responsibilities include managing all food and beverage at the 550-room property from the Michelin-star Luce restaurant to the hotel’s 43,000 square feet of event and function space.
