The Heartland Chapter Past President’s Task Force has built a great agenda for this conference with speakers and topics that you won’t want to miss.
To open our conference on Thursday evening, we’re pleased to have Senior Vice President at Experient, Gary Schirmacher lead us in “A Conversation about Change” where we’ll all have an opportunity to share what keeps us up at night. This conversation will set the stage for the rest of the conference where we will all engage about our challenges and experiences. A reception will follow the session hosted by our venue, The Lodge of Four Seasons Resort.
On Friday, we’ll open the conference with a general session that builds on the discussion from the night before. Gary Schirmacher will once again talk to us about “Sharing Economy in a Centric World.” In this session we’ll examine the challenges as well as the remedies to leveraging the sharing economy to reduce costs/create efficiencies. Then, we’ll breakout into small groups and rotate through two sessions that will challenge you to think about group communication and branding. Mic Johnson of Blue Gurus, will teach us how to leverage our personal and professional brands on LinkedIn and Andi Burgis of Challenge U will walk us through the powers of non-verbal communication for effective personal and professional relationships. We’ll then have an engaging lunch with panel discussion about Industry Trends. This panel will be a diverse collection of senior professionals who are also chapter Past Presidents and will be moderated by association veteran and past president, Roger Sherwood.
After a few free hours in the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful Lodge of Four Seasons Resort, we’ll then enjoy a dinner cruise on Lake Ozark. This is a great opportunity to network with speaker and conference attendees and you won’t want to miss it.
We’ll end the conference on Saturday morning with a closing breakfast session with Mary Lynn Fayoumi, President and CEO of The Management Association will who talk to us about “Making the Transformation to Rockstar” and the specific techniques we can use to connect and collaborate with others to get our voices heard.
