David Whitaker, who has spent the past year as the marketing chief of national tourism bureau Brand USA, is expected to be named the new CEO of Chicago's tourism bureau next week, according to multiple sources close to the organization. Whitaker will replace Don Welsh, who resigned as CEO in February after a five-year run leading the city's tourism promotion efforts.
