Meg Fasy has announced the formation of FazeFWD, Sponsorship Management, specializing in sponsorship strategy, sales & activation for corporate and association meetings. Most recently, Fasy was the Vice President of Sales at Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV, overseeing Sales, Convention Services and Event Technology. Previously she was the Vice President of Industry Relations for PSAV and Vice President of Strategic Partnership for Meeting Professionals Intl.

Discover The Palm Beaches, the county’s official tourism marketing organization, has hired two employees to help keep the convention center full of visitors year round. Peter Cronin was hired to serve as the organization’s Director of Sales for the Southeast part of the country. Peggy Murray Hagaman will serve as the Director of Sales for the Midwest.

Lisa Messina will be rejoining Hilton Worldwide as executive managing director of sales for the HWS Group Sales Intermediary team, effective May 23. For the past five years, Lisa has served as chief marketing officer for ConferenceDirect, securing new business development and strategic partnerships, as well as associate recruitment and associate publisher for the ConferenceDirect MeetingMentor magazine. Previous to ConferenceDirect Lisa held multiple sales leadership positions at Hilton Worldwide.
Hotel industry veteran Brian Hughes has been selected as the new executive director of the San Diego Tourism Marketing District, which promotes the city as a vacation destination. Hughes has been general manager of the Omni San Diego Hotel, chairman of the San Diego Tourism Authority and a member of the San Diego Hotel-Motel Association.
Corinthia London, announces the appointment of Stéphane Trycionka, as Director of Sales & Marketing. With 11 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, this role will see Trycionka in charge of driving international sales to the flagship Corinthia Hotels’ property. Trycionka joins Corinthia from his role as Director of Sales & Marketing at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo in Monaco, where he was responsible for improving the performance and global exposure of the hotel.
GoldSpring Consulting announced the addition of travel industry leader and icon Kevin Iwamoto as a senior consultant, effective immediately. He will be based in San Jose, Calif. Prior to joining GoldSpring, Iwamoto served as vice president of industry strategy at Lanyon, where he was responsible for guiding the global strategies.
Visit Anaheim welcomed Paul Romero as convention sales director for the mid-Atlantic region, as part of a strategic reorganization of its regional convention sales team. Romero brings more than 15 years of regional sales experience to the destination management organization. He recently served as senior national sales director at Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau in California.
Melissa Cherry and Nina Winston
DMAI has hired Melissa Cherry as chief marketing officer and Nina Winston as executive vice-president of membership and partner relations, both newly created positions based in Washington, D.C. Cherry will begin her role with DMAI on May 9 and Winston will start on June 1. Cherry most recently served as senior vice-president of marketing and cultural tourism at Choose Chicago and Winston also comes to DMAI from Choose Chicago, where she most recently served as vice-president of strategic partnerships.
