For homeless women, including mothers, the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children provides a variety of services, including childcare, showers, laundry, lunch, MARTA cards for medical appointments, medical care, life-skills classes, recreational opportunities, documentation (birth certificates, state IDs), access to My Sister’s House (for overnight services), and much more. The shelter helps women break free from homelessness by breaking the bonds that put them there. Each woman is met by a Client Ambassador who is focused on building a relationship, meeting her needs, and casting vision and hope for her future.
The PCMA Southeast Chapter will be providing and serving lunch to the women and children served by the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children on May 18th.
Register now to volunteer on Wednesday, May 18 from 10am-1:30pm to help provide a much needed service to this organization. Please note that we are limited to 15 volunteers for this event, and spaces are filling up quickly. Please click here to register.
There is no fee to participate in this event, but we have included an option to contribute a cash donation to the shelter. Attire on May 18th should be comfortable clothes and please no open-toe shoes.
