PCMA’s 2016 Global Professionals Conference Focuses on Maximizing Business Events in Europe

CHICAGO, IL, March 23, 2015
– The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) is hosting their 4th Annual Global Professionals Conference at the Palais des Congrès de Paris in Paris, France, August 30 – September 1, 2016.

This intimate invite-only educational event brings together 25 global planners from top associations and association management companies, along with 12 senior-level suppliers from the region, representing convention bureaus and centers. The conference’s goal is for all participants to gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities available throughout Europe and how to maximize business events in the region. 

The 2016 program features keynote Erin Meyer, author of The Culture Map: Breaking Through the Invisible Boundaries of Global Business and professor at INSEAD. Meyer will be speaking to the cultural differences people need to be aware of when doing business in Europe. Additional topics include digging into specifics of economic drivers and intellectual capital of destinations and how to utilize for events; budgeting in the global world; and a risk management case study of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 21) that took place in Paris, December 2015.

PCMA is partnering with Viparis, Paris Convention & Visitors Bureau for this event, with additional support from Skyteam, and host hotels Hyatt Regency and le Meridien. 
 “The 2016 PCMA Global Professional’s Conference will provide education for our members and customers seeking to understand the European region’s potential and build a network of solution providers,” said PCMA President and CEO, Deborah Sexton. “Beyond our education, the participants will have a truly unique Parisian experience with networking and local excursion events.
