Visit Denver promoted Jason Lusk, CMP, HMCC, to Associate Vice President, Convention Sales. Lusk joined Visit Denver in September 2007 as the organization’s mid-market Washington, D.C. representative; he subsequently became the Sales Director for the D.C. Region, and in February 2011 he became Director of Sales.
Dana Cooper was named director of sales and marketing at the Hotel Jerome, an Auberge Resort, in Aspen, Colorado.
San Diego Convention Center Corporation
The San Diego Convention Center Corporation announced its 2016 Board of Director’s Officers. Rabbi Laurie Coskey has been elected to chair, Candace M. Carroll will serve as vice chair and Gil Cabrera will serve as the board’s secretary. The seven-member Board of Directors sets policy for the public benefit corporation that was created by the City of San Diego to exclusively manage, market and operate the 2.6 million-square-foot waterfront facility.
Georg Garnitschnig was appointed director of sales and marketing at Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. Garnitschnig rejoins Fairmont Hotels & Resorts after a two-year departure during which he founded Hotel Sales Solutions, a sales and marketing company specializing in luxury hotels and resorts.
Diane Hardy was named director of catering at Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Most recently, Hardy was catering events manager and wedding specialist at The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island.
Patricia Johnson was appointed director of sales at the Hotel Grand Union in New York City. Most recently, Johnson was regional director of sales and marketing at Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

Eli brings over 15 years’ experience in international meetings management, international group housing services and professional development/training within the global meetings industry.
Jill Plemons was appointed director of sales and marketing at Hotel Zephyr in San Francisco. The hotel is Davidson Hotels & Resorts’ first property.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek have appointed David Wahba director of sales. Bringing nearly 20 years of managerial sales experience to his new role, Wahba will lead the development of sales strategies across the dual-hotel complex.
The Capella Washington, D.C, Georgetown, appointed Tiffany Rioux director of sales and marketing. Previously, Rioux was director of business travel and luxury sales at The St. Regis Washington, D.C., and The St. Regis Atlanta.
