New Recertification Policies for CMPs

Do you need to renew your CMP certification? The CIC recently issued new recertification policies for CMPs. All CMPs must recertify their designations every five years to remain certified. As of January 1, 2016, CMPs will have three months, instead of one year, to submit their recertification applications.

Volunteering for CMP Recertification

Did you know that volunteering with NYPCMA and writing articles for the chapter newsletter can help with your CMP recertification? Membership in a meeting/hospitality industry organization, volunteering in a leadership role in a meeting industry organization, publishing an industry-related article, and speaking at an event on an industry-related subject are all activities that can be used toward your recertification.

For complete details on CMP recertification and related information visit the CIC Industry Council’s Web site and refer to the 2015 issue of the CMP Recertification Handbook.
