Please join us on Sunday, January 10th, 2016 for the Southeast Chapter Reception at Convening Leaders in Vancouver. As in years past, we will also host our Chapter’s Annual Silent Auction at this event.
This is the most important fundraising event for the Southeast Chapter of PCMA. The goal of the event is to provide an environment for our chapter members to network prior to the opening reception for the Annual Meeting and to give back to the community that we live in. We donate a portion of our funds to a local charity as well as to the local SE Chapter of PCMA’s education and scholarship funds.
The success of this auction depends on the support of our community. We hope you will consider donating items such as weekend stays for two, spa treatments, gift certificates, dinners, tickets to events, rounds of golf, memorabilia or anything worthy of a great holiday gift. Our local charity for the past several years has been the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children
, which is an ecumenical ministry that was founded in 1984 as a resource center to help homeless women throughout the Atlanta area. Over the years, their services and programs have expanded, responding to the needs of 4,976 women and children last year, serving between 150-250 daily. Many of the women who come to the shelter are physically, emotionally and spiritually worn down. By the time they arrive on the doorstep, they have exhausted every other avenue and are without hope. The shelter helps these women become self-sufficient through participation in the programs offered at the shelter.
