Let’s face it: building a new property takes a lot of time. That’s why, in so many cases, new hotel openings are delayed due to lengthy construction schedules. However, that’s not the case at the soon-to-be-completed and much talked-about Hilton West Palm Beach. In fact, the new property can attach a rarely uttered phrase next to its name: ahead of schedule.
For meeting professionals in search of the right Sunshine State property to wow attendees, the opening can’t come soon enough. The new 400-room property will be directly connected via covered walkway to the 350,000 square-foot Palm Beach County Convention Center
. While the hotel supply already boasts nearly 1,800 rooms within a short shuttle ride from the center, the Hilton West Palm Beach will mark the center’s first connected host hotel.
“This may be the most significant new travel and tourism asset to come to Palm Beach County since the Convention Center opened 10 years ago,” Jorge Pesquera, Discover Palm Beach County President and CEO, said when the property initially broke ground
. “It’s going to pump new life into our one-of-a-kind convention, arts and entertainment district, and bring nearly 40,000 new customers every year who will spend close to $30 million at our restaurants, shops and cultural venues.”
Those convention attendees won’t have to go far to sample the finer side of West Palm Beach, either. With poolside cabanas, an in-house local celebrity chef restaurant, an outdoor fire pit and more, the property will be a relaxation haven after a full day of learning and networking. Of course, for attendees who are looking to experience all this destination has to offer, the hotel’s location makes an ideal fit, too. Nestled in the heart of downtown, the Hilton West Palm Beach offers easy access to the Norton Museum of Art, the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and a range of entertainment and dining options that make West Palm Beach a prime meetings destination.
