Wasn’t it just last month that I wrote about the end of a school year and the beginning of summer? Yet now here we are, fresh into a new school year and a new fiscal year for many of us. It seems that time goes by more quickly every day, and in today’s fast-paced environment fueled by ever changing technology, time is often a more precious commodity than money. This sentiment was mentioned by PCMA Chair and Senior Director of Million Dollar Round Table, Ray Kopcinski, CMP, who addressed both our August 5th quarterly program attendees, and later our chapter Board of Directors. Ray gave us a brief update about what’s happening at the national level, and reminded us that it takes many volunteers to make PCMA successful, both nationally and as a chapter. I hope he sparked someone’s interest to get more involved and make a difference!
While time is very precious and we appreciate the time that our volunteers give us, PCMA cannot run without money. The money that your chapter earns from registration fees and silent auction fundraisers goes back into operating costs, educational programming and scholarships. We were fortunate to have a Best in Class speaker, Debra Zabloudil, President and CEO, The Learning Studio, present at our August program. Best in Class is sponsored by the PCMA Education Foundation. If you would like to help impact the next generation of industry leaders, students and emerging professionals in our chapter, you can text to donate to the Foundation. Instructions are below.

I personally have a hard time asking for help, but I have learned if you don’t ask, the answer is always NO. So I am asking you now, PCMA Southeast Chapter members, to give back what you can, whether it’s a few hours each month to volunteer on a committee or a few dollars to give to the Foundation. Find what works for you. Thank you.
