CHICAGO, Illinois, August 5, 2015 — PCMA Convene magazine has launched a dynamic new website — pcmaconvene.org — designed to better serve its readers and showcase its award-winning content on a flexible, fully integrated platform. Created by Point Five, the New York City–based studio that designs the print version of Convene, the website features content from the print magazine as well as online-exclusive material.
“We wanted to create an online experience that more closely mirrors the print magazine while offering the advantages of an online, responsive platform,” said Barbara Palmer, Convene’s director of online content, who along with Web Editor Kate Mulcrone spearheaded the development of the website. “We know that readers might start an article in the print edition, pick it up in the middle on their phones, and then share it with a friend via email or on social media. We tried to make all of that as easy as possible.”
Users will find new content posted five days a week, organized under six umbrella categories: Career, Big Ideas, Event Design, Technology, Logistics, and Places + Spaces — all of it presented with a bold, responsive design, with seamlessly enabled commenting and social-media sharing.
“This is a natural step for us,” said Michelle Russell, Convene’s editor in chief. “We’ve always prided ourselves on delivering content that educates and inspires our readers, and with pcmaconvene.org they’ll be able to experience it wherever and however they prefer.”
