Hearing the buzz in the street about new hotels emerging in the city? Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come.

A Time to Build - New West Loop Hotel – 590 W. Madison, Chicago, IL
Move over empty parking lot, and make room for a brand new 581-foot tower, featuring approx. 300,000 sq. ft. and 11 floors dedicated to 300+ rooms and two restaurants, one on the top and one on the bottom floor of the tower. Over 600,000 sq. ft of office space will be available beginning on the 19th floor of the hotel. The timeline for this hotel and office space project is pending.

Art Deco Re-Connects with the Hotel Allegro – 171 W. Randolph, Chicago, IL
The Hotel Allegro is undergoing three phases of renovations: adding event spaces and updating its lobby and entrance. Newest renovations to the lobby will create a grand entrance that ties back to the historic art deco elements of this hotel, formerly known as the Bismarck. Highlights to the lobby include a double-sided fireplace, a mural from local artist Sarah Raskey, and a bar.

Drake Hotel Reopens in Oak Brook – 2301 York Road, Oak brook, IL
After several years of being closed due to the recession, the Drake finally re-opened its doors. With new ownership and a new vision, the hotel has been completely renovated to embrace its European ancestry. The Drake has 80 rooms, approx. 12,000 sq. ft of event space, outdoor courtyard areas with fountains, and a gazebo. This property is currently renovating rooms in its second building into suites in phases and is scheduled to be complete by 2015.
