Laura M. Jelinek

PCMA member Laura M. Jelinek has accepted a new position at the American Osteopathic Association as their Associate Vice President of Meetings and Travel.

Patricia Perez-Sahin

Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic appointed PCMA member Patricia Perez-Sahin senior director of group sales. Most recently, Perez-Sahin was director of the Dominican Republic Tourism Board based in Chicago.

Chuck Hilpl

PCMA member and hotel industry sales and marketing veteran Chuck Hilpl has formed the Hilpl Group, LLC, delivering exhibit/sponsorship sales, event planning, show floor management and meeting planning services to association and corporate meeting planners. For the past 15 years Hilpl represented Starwood Hotels & Resorts in a Global Sales role as Account Director.

Ann Garvey

Visit Spokane took on a new regional director of national accounts - Mid-Atlantic, PCMA Member Ann Garvey. A 20-year meetings industry veteran, Garvey will be based in the Washington D.C. office of Visit Spokane.

Tina Lynn Mercardo

The Craft & Hobby Association promoted Tina Lynn Mercardo to Associate Vice President, Events & Exhibitions. In this new position, Mercado will be responsible for the overall sales and operations of all the CHA live events and meetings, including the CHA MEGA Show, the largest creative arts marketplace in the United States.

Josephine Fontana 

The New York Palace appointed Josephine Fontana senior group sales manager.

Adam Wright

Adam Wright joined Visit KC in a newly created position of visitor services manager. He began on March 13.

Louis Vivas

Louis Vivas has been promoted to associate director of meetings and special events at The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix. Vivas, who has 27 years of hotel management experience, joined The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix in 2011. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon.

Brent Forshag

Brent Forshag was named director of sales and marketing at the InterContinental New Orleans. Most recently, Forshag was vice president of sales and marketing at HRI Lodging.

Jim Miller, Chip Nelson, Daniel L.A. de Kok

Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, BVI recently appointed three industry veterans to fill key director-level positions at the resort –James “Jim” Miller, managing director; Douglas “Chip” Nelson, general manager, and Daniel L.A. de Kok director of finance – along with a key management position for Ixora Spa.

Rose Genovese

One&Only Resorts/Kerzner International Holdings Limited appointed Rose Genovese vice president of sales for the Americas. Most recently, Genovese was regional vice president of sales and marketing for North America at Langham Hospitality Group.

Nongluck Narkman

Nongluck Narkman was named director of sales and marketing for The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok.

Deanna Stein 

Deanna Stein was promoted to senior sales executive at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. Most recently, Stein was destination sales executive at the hotel.
