She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Nicole Pasqual has been appointed director of sales and marketing at Grand Hyatt Melbourne, Australia. Pasqual most recently was group director of sales for Toga Far East Hotels.
Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive has named Art Fasano director of sales and marketing. Fasano most recently was director of sales and marketing and director of group sales at the Doubletree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando.
Bill Hoffman, the Executive Director/CEO of the Incline Village Crystal Bay Visitors and Convention Bureau for the last 16 years, is retiring. Hoffman will be replaced by Andy Chapman, who currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer of the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association.

Global Experience Specialists (GES, announced that President Steve Moster has been appointed as president and CEO of its parent company, Viad Corp, and as a member of the Viad Board, effective immediately. Moster succeeds Paul Dykstra who has resigned as Chairman, President and CEO. Moster joined GES in 2004 and served in roles of increasing responsibility across the business, including executive vice president chief sales and marketing officer. He became president of GES in November 2010. Prior to joining GES, he was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company where he worked with a broad set of clients to create and implement growth strategies.
Longtime local businessman and civic leader Stephen Cushman has been elected to chair the executive board of San Diego Convention Center Corp., beginning in January. He has served as an adjunct professor at San Diego State University and is past chairman of the university’s business school. He has recently served as a special assistant to Mayor Kevin Faulconer, advising the city on issues including options for expanding the convention center.

Steve Bartolin becomes Chairman of the The Broadmoor as of March 1, 2015. Bartolin has appointed Jack Damioli, Vice President and Managing Director, to President and CEO of The Broadmoor, and President of the Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway. Bartolin will continue with The Broadmoor in the role of Chairman to provide oversight, guidance and support for The Broadmoor.

The Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC) announced the winner of the 2013 JMIC Profile and Power Award as Roger Kellerman, the founder and publisher of the magazine Meetings International.
Patti Shock, a founding member and academic consultant for The International School of Hospitality has won three lifetime achievement awards this year. Shock received the first national Icon Award in July from the National Association of Catering and Events, and in October, she was inducted into the Convention Industry Council's Hall of Leaders, the highest honor in the industry. Her latest achievement, the Legacy Award from the NACE Las Vegas chapter, was presented to her in November.
CLIA has hired Cindy D'Aoust as Executive Vice President, Membership and Operations. In this role, D'Aoust will be responsible for managing and expanding the functions previously based in Fort Lauderdale. D'Aoust comes to CLIA from Meeting Professionals International, where she served as Chief Operations Officer, and brings more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and in membership organizations, including senior roles with Maritz Travel. D'Aoust will also oversee the consolidation of CLIA's U.S. offices and have responsibility to fill the Vice President, Trade Relations position held most recently by Dwain Wall.

The Dow Hotel Company has named 20-plus year industry veteran Mark J. Mathews general manager of the 353-room Hilton Hotel – Bellevue located in the suburbs of Seattle, Wash. The hotel currently is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation to upgrade its guest rooms, meeting space and all public areas.
Connections Housing has appointed Brad Weaber to the newly created post of Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, Weaber will develop new strategies and initiatives to enhance the travel and housing experience for Connections' growing client roster and will work from the company's Washington, DC office. Prior to joining Connections Weaber was Executive Vice President with New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau and Executive Vice President for association management company SmithBucklin, respectively.
The board of directors of Meet Puerto Rico has appointed Peter Hopgood as chairman of the board, a role that will be fundamental in supporting the organization’s activities, functions and goals. Hopgood has been vice president of sales and marketing for International Hospitality Enterprises (IHE) since 2003, but started his hospitality career in 1993 at the Condado Plaza Hilton. He was also part of the first Wyndham hotel’s opening team in Puerto Rico, and was promoted to his current role two years after joining IHE in 2001. Hopgood has been part of the board of directors of Meet Puerto Rico since 2011.
