With record-breaking attendance, a new format, and renewed energy, the 2014 Bowl-a-Thon was an unqualified success. Held on Nov. 5 after the Quarterly Education Meeting, over 500 attendees participated in our biggest fundraiser for our charity, Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly.
The Community Services Committee, which planned the event, received the following note from Little Brothers:
Thank you so much for inviting me to the PCMA event last night. It was simply wonderful. You put on a tremendous party and I had a wonderful time. I met so many friendly, amazing people and everyone was so kind and so interested in the elders we serve at Little Brothers.
I’ve been in the best mood today as I think about all of your members and how tremendously dedicated they are to making a difference. What you all have accomplished, not just last night, but year after year for so many organizations serving so many Chicagoans, is really heartwarming.
Thank you again for including me. It was the highlight of my month!
