Why Aren’t They Loving This Change?

Jill Formeister, Chair, GMC Communications Committee

Chris Clarke-Epstein, CSP, says that she works with organizations, their leaders and teams because she agrees with Jack Welch: “When the rate of change outside an organization is faster that the rate of change inside the organization, the organization is doomed!”

As the Nov. 5 Education Program speaker at John B. Murphy Memorial Auditorium, she will share her research and ideas in “It’s Such a Great Idea!: Why Aren’t They Loving This Change?” Her programs and resources include practical tools to help organizations face change and overcome resistance. She will share her research and ideas to help us identify the causes of resistance, determine steps to overcome that resistance, and manage and implement our change initiatives.

Chris has worked with leaders for the past 20 years, encouraging them to try new ways to do old things and to change mindsets to meet today’s challenges. Her mother claims that Chris became a speaker at age six, when she was caught charging neighborhood children a nickel for a tour of her newborn brother. Her programs now address more universal themes—building effective teams, maximizing personal creativity, and thriving during change.

She is an author and contributor to nine books. Her most recent book is “78 Important Questions Every Leader Should Ask and Answer.”

Items include hotel stays, restaurant certificates, sports tickets, and much more! Click here to preview all of our auction items online.

New at the Bowl-A-Thon this year, we are introducing a Wine Pull!
