PCMA Southeast Chapter will be providing and serving lunch at the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Thank you Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation for sponsoring this event!
Started in 1986, the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children has a mission of trying to ease the burden of homelessness for women and children and to assist in establishing self-sufficiency by providing comprehensive education and supportive services in a manner that respects human dignity. They provide two meals a day to all guests, provide food pantry kits to guests, and supply vital hygiene and childcare supplies. In addition, job counselors are able to assist guests with resumes and interview preparation, as well as distribute MARTA passes for safe travel to and from interviews.
Please remember to bring all of your un-opened hotel amenities (like soap & shampoo) to our next SE PCMA chapter meeting or, call Bernie Wilke at 404-867-3137 and he will be happy to collect your donations.
