While PCMA’s 6,000+ members have opportunities to join the entire membership base at Convening Leaders and Education Conference, our regional chapters fill in the gaps between face-to-face gatherings with local events, member outreach, student programs and more. We are incredibly grateful for our many hard-working regional chapter leaders and volunteers and all they do to maintain the 365-day PCMA connection. This week, we’re highlighting just a few of the notable names around North America.
Remy Perrot, Membership, Canada West Chapter
National Director of Sales & Marketing, North American Logistics Services, Inc.
As our north-of-the-border membership continues to expand, Remy Perrot’s work as the Director of Membership is helping cement PCMA’s footprint in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. As we look ahead to Convening Leaders 2016 in Vancouver, Remy’s commitment to chapter success will make the most valuable days in the meetings industry more accessible for the 230+ Canada West members.
Sheila Fox, Director/Communications, POWER Chapter
Chief Events Officer, Event In Site, LLC
In today’s noisy digital world, getting the word out takes serious work. Luckily, the POWER Chapter can count on Sheila Fox to keep its 170 members in-the-know about upcoming events. Sheila is making sure these members are keeping busy, too. This fall, the POWER Chapter is presenting two events: Social Media & Marketing Your Event and Managing Your Budget.
Tonya Almond, Director, Greater Midwest Chapter
Vice President, Meetings & Continuing Education, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
With more than 1,200 members, the Greater Midwest Chapter is one of PCMA’s biggest regional units, and Tonya Almond is helping to pave the way toward even bigger success as a member of the chapter’s Board of Directors. She has done tremendous work in helping secure 32 organizational sponsors for the chapter’s educational programming.
Dee Blakeney, President-Elect, Gulf States Chapter
Vice President, Event Planning, Experient
While Dee Blakeney has plenty on her plate as Vice President of Event Planning at Experient, she has happily added more to her to-do list as President-Elect of the Gulf States Chapter. Dee is working to deliver plenty of new opportunities for 300 members across Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
Bill Martin, Student Membership, Greater Midwest Chapter
Strategic Sales Executive, Experient
With Bill Martin at the helm of Student Membership, the next generation of PCMA professionals are making the most of their PCMA affiliation in the Midwest. Bill has even hosted a student game show. And here’s a bonus: this is Bill’s 15th anniversary as a PCMA member!
Theda Jackson, Director/Membership, Southeast Chapter
Hospitality Sales Executive
PCMA continues to reach new audience members from Alabama to Puerto Rico, and Theda Jackson is making that outreach even more effective through her role in membership for the Southeast Chapter. Those members have plenty to be excited about, too. The chapter hosted its inaugural bowling event earlier this year and will host its annual meeting in early November.
Nancy Canzone, President, Southwest & Pacific Chapter
Senior Sales Manager, Hyatt Regency Long Beach
When Nancy Canzone isn’t filling rooms at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, she’s filling the calendars of 300+ members in Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada and Southern California. Next week, the chapter will come together in Las Vegas for an annual fundraiser and roast that will honor Brian Stevens, President and CEO of Conference Direct.
Scott Collinsworth, Special Projects Director, Rocky Mountain Chapter
National Account Manager, Freeman
As Special Projects Director of the Rocky Mountain Chapter, Scott Collinsworth makes sure that the 300 members from Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico have no shortage of opportunities on the calendar. From the All Hearts Awards Dinner to the Rocky Mountain PCMA/MPI Golf Tournament, Scott helps to bring members together for fun while fundraising for noteworthy causes.
