Friends of Marlene

The Friends of Marlene invite you to our annual Ravinia event and fundraiser: "Surf and Soul" for Charity, featuring The Beach Boys and the Temptations! Relax in our private tent and enjoy a light buffet dinner, great conversation and the music of two fantastic groups.

Tuesday, August 26
Private tent opens at 5:00 pm, show begins at 7:00 pm
Ravinia, 418 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, Illinois 60035
Register online now >

Enjoy our private Ravinia Tent beginning at 5:00 pm with a light buffet dinner and beverages including beer, wine and soft drinks. Having the tent all night allows plenty of time throughout the evening to catch up with friends regardless of the weather - and, of course, the music of two fantastic groups will be the highlight of the party!

Tickets are limited, so reserve your place now for what is sure to be a sold-out event! Friends of Marlene will be seated under our tent; chairs can be moved to the grassy area next to the tent, or feel free to bring chairs or a blanket to move out to the main lawn. Whether under the tent or under the stars, the sound is spectacular.

If you are unable to attend the event but would like to support Friends of Marlene, please make a gift here. All proceeds will benefit The Maggie Daley Center for Women's Cancer Care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Getting to Ravinia
  • Logistics - Ravinia's parking lot opens at 3:00 p.m., the gates open at 4:00 p.m. and our private tent will be ready at 5:00 p.m. Tickets will be held at the Ravinia Ticket Will Call Window.
  • Driving to Ravinia - Visit ravinia.org for directions and parking information.
  • Taking the Train - Metra trains stop regularly at Braeside, which is an easy 10 minute walk to Ravinia Park. Trains also stop at Ravinia Station and Highland Park; both stations have shuttle services to Ravinia Park beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Metra train stopping right at the Park stops closer to the start of the concert. After the concert, trains will be available in both directions from the entrance to Ravinia Park, so there is no need to go back to a different station.
