Missouri – The Show Me State

Kansas City—The executive committee of the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association (KCCVA) announced the selection of industry veteran Ronnie Burt as its new president and chief executive officer.

Saint Charles - located in the heart of the Midwest, 10 minutes from the St. Louis International airport and a 10 block historic district along the Missouri River. The new “Streets of Saint Charles” 26 acreage site just opened with several restaurants, 309 luxury apartments and an AMC state of the art 8 screen theater to open this fall. HSC Ballrooms just opened The Old Stone Chapel on Main Street with attached banquet center that accommodates 200 people. Check out our event calendar at www.historicstcharles.com

Downtown St. Louis’ - newest entertainment district, Ballpark Village, opened in March and is adjacent to Busch Stadium and the new facility is brimming with special event spaces. Planners can take advantage of the entire expansive and light-filled venue for an event for up to 10,000 guests, or zero in on specific parts of the entertainment complex for smaller gatherings. Inside the village, planners can book all space at the Budweiser Brew House, the PBR Lounge, Howl at the Moon, Fox Sports Midwest Live! or Cardinals Nation, an elegant dining and entertainment space that also houses the team’s new Hall of Fame Museum.

Nebraska – The Cornhusker State

Omaha ranks #2 on DreamPlanGo’s list of America’s Coolest Music towns. Omaha’s musical legacy goes back to the 1920s when Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, among other jazz legends, chose to perform at Dreamland Ballroom. Today, Omaha is at the heart of America’s indie scene with energetic summer festivals and a variety of cool venues, including Slowdown and The Waiting Room.

Oklahoma – The Sooner State

Oklahoma City enjoyed a record setting month of March. Even with 500 additional rooms in inventory over last year, OKC had the highest ever occupancy for a March and the second highest room revenue for any month prior. EVER. The convention sales team is a pretty excited and looking for creative ways to keep the momentum going! THUNDER UP!

Oklahoma City is the place to be in July and August with events kicking off our country’s independence at the Chickasaw Ballpark and Frontier City Amusement Park with spectacular firework shows. There’s also plenty to do in OKC from watching OKC’s Energy FC Soccer Club games to performances at the Civic Center, OKC Downtown Airpark, Chesapeake Arena and so much more.  For a full list of things to do and see in OKC check out www.visitokc.com!
