Home to some of the country's most breathtaking mountain views, the best ski country in the US, and a host of other cultural and outdoor activities Boise's Convention Center has unveiled a plan to ensure it isn't just the mountains that are standing out.
The Greater Boise Auditorium District plans to purchase new meeting, ballroom, and kitchen space adjacent to the Boise Centre which will nearly double its current size of 50,000 square feet. Outlined plans include:
- A 15,000 square-foot ballroom
- A 7,000 square-foot commercial kitchen
- Additional 14,000 square feet of meeting room space and 7,000 square feet of pre-function space
In recent years the District has had to turn away convention business and was unable to pursue larger events do to current bookings.
“The proposed expansion plans will allow Boise to accommodate more visitors, and in turn, more people will be able to discover the magic of the Boise Valley,” said Boise Mayor Dave Bieter.
