Paul Van Deventer

Paul Van Deventer has been appointed MPI's new president and CEO, effective Monday, April 29.

Paul, previously with Walgreens and American Express is a seasoned senior executive with international and travel industry experience and a proven track record for driving growth, creating brand value and developing high-performing, engaged teams from the inside out.

Geoff Freeman

Geoff Freeman, former EVP of the U.S. Travel Association, will join the American Gaming Association as its new CEO. Freeman worked to reinvigorate the travel group over the last several years, embarking on an ambitious public affairs campaign.

Freeman takes over from Frank Fahrenkopf, who has led the industry trade group since it was formed in 1995.

Gail Wargo

Gail Wargo was named director of sales and marketing for the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa in South Carolina. She recently retired Marriott International from after a 30-year career in sales.

Michele Frania

Michele Frania has joined the Velvet Chainsaw team as Director, Client Projects & Stories! Prior to Velvet Chainsaw Michele worked for brandmuscle as a Client Service Manager where she led the team responsible for developing marketing tools and solutions for Allstate and Hampton Inn & Suites.

Carmen Lam

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Toronto, has named Carmen Lam vice president, hotel sales and marketing, Asia Pacific. Lam previously served as senior vice president, leisure and brand sales and marketing, for Melco Crown Entertainment.
