The EMEA Brussels based agency Swantegy has opened offices in Boynton Beach and Chicago in order to serve the needs of US organizations operating abroad. Swantegy US will specifically focus on, supporting associations looking at globalizing their business, helping associations and corporations deliver projects all over EMEA, and aligning stakeholders and face-to-face touchpoints with organization’s objectives.
Following a three-month national search, Tampa Bay & Company has hired Santiago Corrada as its new president and chief executive officer. Corrada was selected for his local experience, management skills, industry knowledge, collaboration expertise and overall leadership ability as well as for his passion for Tampa Bay.
Jerry Cito has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Convention Development for NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization. Previously, Cito was First Vice President, Convention Development for NYC & Company, and has worked with the organization since 2001. He leads NYC & Company’s convention sales efforts, supervising a staff of 14 across the US and UK. Cito’s new responsibilities includes leading an expanded MICE effort for international meetings and incentive business.
Kelly Commerford has been named director of sales and marketing at the Commons Hotel in Minneapolis. Commerford most recently was director of marketing at Manchester Grand Hyatt.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida, have appointed Mary Jobb director of sales. Jobb most recently was vice president of sales with LXR, Luxury Resorts & Hotels.
Pauline Houston has been appointed director global supplier management for hotels and meetings and events. She will drive greater alignment in the approach to suppliers for both business travel and meetings and events clients. Houston has worked for CWT since 2009 and was previously head of CWT Meetings & Events for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Patrick Lukan has joined CWT Meetings & Events as senior director global operations to support the global strategy and delivery of operations for meetings and events. Through a global approach to service delivery and operations, CWT Meetings & Events will provide clients with detailed international reporting that gives a global, organization-wide view of their meetings and events spend. Before joining CWT, Lukan worked over the past 20 years in various technology and service delivery roles in the travel and technology industries including American Airlines, Sabre and Travelport.
