Tourism Toronto today announced which lucky Meeting Planner will be the guiding mind behind itssignature Imaginarium in 2013. The winner, selected by a design committee from the many creative entries received, is Kristin Brammell, CMP of Association Headquarters based in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
First launched at the PCMA Convening Leaders Conference in 2007, the Imaginarium has become THE place to be for Meeting Planners when visiting the conference. With a different theme chosen every year, the Imaginarium allows Tourism Toronto and its partners to welcome clients into a stylish oasis of creativity, exclusivity and calm to experience a taste of Toronto hospitality.
“The Imaginarium has become quite the tradition as part of our partnership with PCMA. It gives us a chance to bring a little bit of that Toronto passion for service and specially tailored experiences to some of our most important customers,” said David Whitaker, President and CEO of Tourism Toronto. “It also gives planners a chance to meet and interact with Tourism Toronto’s Hotel, Convention Centre and Supplier community forging direct relationships that not only help us win the business, but ensure we exceed customer expectations. The Imaginarium begins the promise ‘Whatever You’re Into, You Can Get Into It In Toronto.’”
This year, for the first time, Tourism Toronto has partnered with PCMA to invite Meeting Planners to submit ideas for a compelling theme for the Imaginarium space for the upcoming PCMA Convening Leaders Conference 2013, in Orlando, Florida. The contest prize includes registration fee to the 2012 PCMA Leaders of Thought Summit; round trip airfare to Toronto; accommodation for the duration of the meeting; registration fee for 2013 PCMA Convening Leaders in Orlando, Florida; round trip airfare to Orlando, Florida; accommodation for the duration of the conference.
"When I got the call that I had won, the very first thing I said was ‘Holy cow!’” said Kristin Brammell, CMP. “To put it more eloquently, I am extremely excited to have this chance to work with Tourism Toronto to help create the Imaginarium for Convening Leaders 2013. This is an amazing opportunity to design a memorable experience for my colleagues while celebrating all of the unique aspects of Toronto that make it such a fun place."
The design committee was unanimous in its choice of Kristin Brammell’s submission and is excited to reveal the new theme at PCMA Convening Leaders Conference in January 2013.
