AUSTIN, TX - "What You Hear is True." The redesigned website, austintexas.org, produced by the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau (Austin CVB), is now better than ever. The innovative site serves as a rich resource of travel information. It features Austin as the renowned Live Music Capital of the World®, and extols the city's vibrant food scene, top-notch museums and diverse attractions. The website also showcases the city as a world-class meeting destination educating professionals about what makes Austin such a unique and desirable place. A social media lounge, local tips and picks and a guide to live music are just a few of the new features on the interactive website.
"Since Austin is known as a technological hub, it’s important we represent the city with one of the most advanced websites in our industry," said Bob Lander, president and CEO of the Austin CVB. "This state-of-the-art website remains user friendly and provides the most relevant information to visitors. Our comprehensive redesign allows visitors to connect with the local community and experience Austin in an organic and authentic way."
The website plays off the Bureau's new ad campaign – "What You Hear is True." The campaign combines quotes and tweets, which you'll also see on the site, about Austin from visitors and locals. The social media lounge makes it easy for visitors to connect with Austin through its Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr Accounts. The animated, information and content rich site communicates with and informs potential and returning visitors about some of the best places to eat, shop and explore the nearly 200 live music venues throughout the city. This website, designed by local ad agency nFusion, keeps Austin CVB advanced and high-tech.
